My Personality Type
Analytical Thinkers are reserved, quiet persons. They like to get to the bottom of things - curiosity is one of their strongest motives. They want to know what holds the world together deep down inside. They do not really need much more to be happy because they are modest persons. Many mathematicians, philosophers and scientists belong to this type.
As an Analytical Thinker you are one of the introverted personality types. You are not particularly suited for dealing with others, working as a part of a team and be in the position of “continuous exchange“, you would much rather work alone, and dwell on your thoughts undisturbed. You usually put a critical distance between yourself and others that enables you to be the keen and incorrupt observer of life.

Whew! It's been awhile...
It's been a very long time since I've posted. Sorry about that. I've been busy, but not really too busy to post, just lazy? Ha, I don't know. Anyways, here's a brief bit of what's been going on lately...
I've been planning a wedding. Obviously that takes up most of my time. Except, not really. Things have fallen in to place really nicely. I've purchased my dress, shoes, veil, and hairpiece. The boys' vests have been ordered and will be arriving soon. The sealing time has been reserved as well as my endowment session. I'm taking temple prep! The invitations have been created and engagement pictures have been taken. Once we get the CD of pictures, we can print the invitations and pictures off and finally send out our invitations! The cultural hall at home needs to be reserved for our Florida reception, but the date has been chosen--July 31st. Our honeymoon will be in Florida in July--helloooo, Disney World and Universal Studios (specifically HP World!). Our colors are navy blue and coral. The bridesmaids have had their dresses since December... and I may or may not have bought one for myself because I loved it so much, haha. My maid of honor has been chosen (ha, she's been chosen since forever ago, but officially declared in November.) The best man has been chosen and he's accepted... yay for more tall people to make me look shorter :P Mostly it's the little things that need to be planned now. Like, decorations and food. All the times have been chosen and set. The cake (for both receptions) have been chosen and designed, with their designers approval. Rylan will make the ID one and Adrienne will make the FL. Yum! :) Anything else I forgot??
I've been working a lot. Fall semester I was promoted to Supervisor (along with several awesome others), which has been fun. I like it a lot. I get to sit at the desk and answer questions, check people in and out, help students with tutoring questions--how to sign up, where to meet their tutor, etc., and sometimes I do a little Pinterest and homework (when I'm taking classes... it's my off-track, so no classes for me right now.) I also am a grader for one of the Beginning Algebra classes. That's been interesting, annoying, and overwhelming. I like it, but I hate having to "hunt" for the students' answers and grading multiple assignments on one sheet of paper. Also, I'm not a fan of the 2.5 inch stack of papers I have to go through at least twice a week. However, it's a paid job, so I'm all for the extra hours. It's not a bad job, just sometimes really tedious and time-consuming. I still tutor one-on-one and work in the math lab, just not as much as I used to. I have 9 supervising hours and 1.5 lab hours. And anywhere from one to five hours of tutoring. I do still love my job, though :)
I've been spending as much time with Ethan as possible. The darn boy has so much homework. Yuck! It probably doesn't help that he gets easily distracted by things, which cause his homework time to take longer than planned. And he also sleeps way in on Saturdays. It drives me crazy because I'm generally up between 11:30 and noon. We have been watching lots of movies--three this past weekend. Sometimes we go on dates to Wendy's, Arby's, or Jimmy John's. And it seems like we're always at Wal-Mart for something or other. Then of course, our extra time is spent kissing hahaha. What can I say? He's got some soft lips :P ...and a big head, but that's okay. More places to kiss him on his cheek!
I've been trying to spend time with my other friends. It's hard because our schedules tend to conflict. They're either free when I'm at work or when Ethan and I have a date planned. I've had one sleepover, but I had to leave early to get my nails done for our engagement photos. Hopefully I will have a few more before I'm married. It's weird to go stay at a friend's house when you're married... that's like leaving my husband. I don't know if that's weird or not, but I don't know anyone who's married that has sleepovers. Also, I feel like I will see a lot of them less because I'll have homework and they will have homework next semester. Of course I will still make plans to hang out with them when I'm married! That's a given. I'll still love them, haha.
Beyond all that, it's just been sleeping and eating and playing Minecraft on my phone. Yeah, I'm a nerd. Get over it, haha.

Expect the unexpected, basically.
This semester has gone in directions that I never would have guessed it would. First of all, four math classes--worst idea that I've ever had. Secondly, when did I become the kind of person who would miss class, especially math classes?! Thirdly, I never, ever pictured myself to be where I'm at right now.
Let's start off with everything school related.
I'm not graduating next spring. Or next fall. I'm graduating Winter of 2015.
Graduation got pushed from Spring 2014 to Fall 2014 because I decided not to take CS 124 because of my four math classes. Then graduation was pushed off even farther because some crazy things happened and it ended up being better if I dropped Linear Algebra to take it next semester instead. If Applied Linear Regression was offered in the spring or fall, then I would still be able to graduate as planned. However, it's not. It's only offered during winter semesters and Linear Algebra is a prerequisite. I talked with two different professors, my roommates, my boyfriend, and my Linear Algebra tutor before I made the decision that set my graduation off yet another semester.
So now I am taking three math courses and a second block religion course. I haven't had a religion course in what feels like ages, so I'm pretty excited for it.
Alright, so things not school related, but kind of school related.
I was promoted to Supervisor at work this semester. It's a nice tiny pay raise and it goes on my transcript as having a leadership position. I'm absolutely loving working at the front desk. I miss working in the lab, but I still have a handful of shifts there and some one-on-one tutoring appointments, so all is well. I also worked half of this semester as a Math 100B grader for one of the Academic Support teachers. Oh man, I have never been driven more crazy by unstapled papers and the scraggly bits of pages ripped out of spiral-bound notebooks in my life until now! Because things got so hectic and crazy for a while, I spoke with the teacher I graded for and handed off the job to another student.
And for things completely unrelated to school.
As you probably noticed somewhere above the word 'boyfriend' you're probably wondering about those details. Well, I can confirm that you read correctly. I do, in fact, have a boyfriend. My very first haha. It was a bit complicated at the start, and I won't go into those details, but it's been a pretty good thing. In a complicated way, we've been together for about a month now. However, according to the "Facebook official" status, we've been together not even a week yet. The milestones my roommates like to tease me about are holding hands for the first time and yep, we've kissed :) He lives a good distance away because fall semester is his off-track. I see him about once a week and if I'm lucky twice. However, last weekend I saw him three days in a row and then again during the week. WHAT?! Haha, that was great. My roommates are pretty freaking awesome. I love how crazy and random Megan is and how very down to earth and great to be around Marta is. Sarah is super sweet and her boyfriend, Brennen, is pretty cool too. Of course there's Hayley and Madi too, but I already love them for many different reasons. We lived together last fall, so it's nothing too new to me haha.
I expected this semester to be hard and hectic, but I never expected it to be like this. It's good and it's bad. And I won't go into too much detail because it's really crazy and complicated in most ways. Just know that pretty much, you should never be dead set on expecting something because expectations are rarely ever met.
